Electrical fires, fires involving cooking oils, and fat or other flammable liquids (gasoline, kerosene, etc.) should NOT be put out with water. Water will make the fire spread and make it worse. If you have any doubt about the nature of the fire, you should leave the home with all of your family and call the fire department from OUTSIDE the home.
