What is black mould?

Black mould, also called Stachybotrys chartarum, is one of the most common indoor moulds and by far the most toxic. It produces mycotoxins and releases spores into the surrounding air, which can be inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Black mould poses serious health risks to humans and animals that are exposed to it.
